Today Friday 26th January when India was celebrating its democracy we the Kashmiris all over the world marked today as the BLACK DAY and held rallies with banners & posters showing the brutalities being committed upon innocent Kashmiris by the Indian Armed Forces, we Kashmiris also held protests by means of demonstrations out side the Indian High Commissions (Embassy’s) world wide against their human rights violations and atrocities committed upon innocent people of Indian Occupied Kashmir by the hands of Indian Armed Forces.
The British Kashmiris along with Sikh community held a demonstration lead by Lord Nazir Ahmed & Lord Qurban Hussain along with the AJK opposition leader MLA Chaudhry Yasin, political & community leaders outside the Indian High Commission where slogans of FREE KASHMIR & FREE KHALISTAN were chanted as well as protesting against the human rights violations on Kashmiris, Sikhs, Christians and other minorities living in India, while we were peacefully protesting outside the Indian High Commission the Indian extremist Hindu’s whom were deployed by the Indian High Commission came in Front of the peaceful protesters and started clashing and swearing and pushing the protesters and at some stage they started kicking and punching protesters and mean while the police force arrived in big numbers and dismembered these Extremist Hindu hooligans who came to sabotage our peaceful demonstration and finally we continued with our protest which ended very peacefully.
Masha ALLAH the turnout was very good with people from all walks of life from all over UK including Leeds Yorkshire, Lancashire, Birmingham, Luton, Watford, Greater London etc. with British Kashmiris/ Pakistani’s as well as British/Indian Sikh’s with banners, posters wrapped on vans and trucks as well as plaque cards.
The International, Pakistani & Indian Electronic & Print Media especially all the major Pakistani media covered the peaceful protest.
